As an experienced building contractor, I have managed many projects in the last 20yrs. I've dealt with a lot of employees and a ton of subcontractors, the good the bad and the ugly.
When I'm on a job site, it doesn't take much time for me to figure out who's doing what they're supposed to be doing and who's not. This is all part of what I do daily in my own construction business. It's called quality control.

As you know, I am a building contractor, so I manage my own projects, and that's primarily what I do every day.
However, being in this business, inevitably, people will reach out to me in a variety of situations, some even desperate, mostly homeowners or people building their own homes for the first time. People needing help because they took on more than they could handle, thinking that they could "GC" and oversee their projects themselves.
Sometimes I'll get a call from someone because their project has completely derailed, and they need help getting it back on track. Or they just don't have the time or expertise to interface with their contractor effectively.
